James Ruskin
Relaunched in 2009 following a brief hiatus, Blueprint Records is run by a man with so much Techno history it hurts - James Ruskin. Starting off from where 'The Birmingham Sound' stopped, Blueprint's ethos of quality over quantity is certainly something the label's adoring fans are digging. With such a fan base it was only a matter of time before the imprint decided to make it's mark in the party arena too. For this new reign Ruskin has lined up the label's talent to join him in the DJ Booth - O/V/R (his own producer / DJ tag team with Sandwell District's Regis), Techno sensation Mark Broom (producer of one of the best Techno tracks of recent times with his incredible 'Hostage' track - Blueprint 029) and Valmay, a man who likes on occasion the tempo dropped a little in favour of some incredible soundscape instrumentation. In order to bring a much needed Techno party to the capital they are racking up a mouthwatering combination of guests too - DJs and Producers that have adorned the tunnels of Cable so far include the hugely respected (and a worthy entry on anyones 'must see' list) DJ and producer Surgeon, Sandwell District (Function & Regis' two man army), Oliver Ho and Luke Slater.
